Monster Hunter Wilds has a serious story progression bug, but thankfully Capcom is on the case with a fix 
Monster Hunter Wilds has a pretty substantial game-breaking bug right now, which prevents progress through to the later parts of the story. Thankfully, Capcom is aware and working on a fix, but if you're nearing Chapter 5-2, it might be worthing doing some side content for now.
