Microsoft will put four studios in the spotlight for a Developer Direct presentation at noon PT / 3 PM ET on January 25. The event will center on The Elder Scrolls Online, Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends, and Redfall.
Xbox and Bethesda will air the livestream on their respective Twitch and YouTube channels. But Microsoft says the developers--Arkane Austin, Mojang Studios, Turn 10 Studios, and ZeniMax Online Studios--will present "big features" and "extended gameplay showcases" on their titles, according to Xbox Wire.
For example, Arkane Austin is planning to show off single- and multiplayer gameplay footage for Redfall. The studio will also talk more about combat, customization, and bosses for the FPS. Redfall will reportedly launch in May, though no release date has been given. This event may clarify the situation.
Details are more vague for Forza Motorsport. Turn 10 will apparently "share more gameplay and exciting new details," per Microsoft. That said, this Developer Direct is about titles launching in the next few months, alluding to the fact the racing game will arrive sooner than later.
The Elder Scrolls Online fans can expect to learn about the next major chapter update for the MMO, on top of new playable regions of Tamriel. Meanwhile, the Minecraft Legends segment will zero in on the PvP multiplayer experience for the game.
If you're wondering about Starfield, Microsoft says a standalone show in the future will focus on the title from Bethesda Game Studios. That seemingly confirms the report from earlier this week regarding the now-official Xbox games showcase.
